2018 Forum on Leadership


The inaugural Forum on Leadership recognized and celebrated leadership over the course of three days for the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s highest-level donors. The event included a black-tie gala honoring Bono as the first George W. Bush Medal for Distinguished Leadership recipient and a 5,000-person event featuring Amazon Chairman and CEO, Jeff Bezos.

2018 Clinton Global Initiative University


Over 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students from around the world participated in the Clinton Global Initiative University’s three-day conference at the University of Chicago to engage and discuss ideas and proposals to address societal challenges.  President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and other high-level speakers participated in the plenary sessions and private receptions, and the event culminated with an off-site community service project.

Remembering Barbara Bush


An intimate event celebrated and honored the life of Mrs. Barbara Bush by featuring a panel of experts discussing her powerful legacy as first lady and reflections from several of her loving grandchildren.

The Invictus Games Symposium on Invisible Wounds


The George W. Bush Institute hosted a Symposium on Invisible Wounds at the 2016 Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida. President George W. Bush and Prince Harry participated in a memorable conversation with Invictus Games competitors about the invisible wounds of war.

An Evening with Lorne Michaels


Saturday Night Live’s Creator and Executive Producer Lorne Michaels and NBC’s Willie Geist captivated the audience with a conversation exploring the history of SNL political impersonations.

President and Mrs. Bush’s 70th Birthday


A breathtaking event was created under the Texas sky at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, to celebrate President and Mrs. George W. Bush’s 70th birthdays.  Stunning decor and a private concert by country music legend George Strait made for an unforgettable night.

Bush-Cheney Alumni Reunion


Nearly 1,000 Bush-Cheney Alumni and guests participated in a two-day reunion event in Dallas with President and Mrs. George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.  Alumni enjoyed exclusive tours of the Bush Center, dinner and entertainment in the Native Texas Park, and importantly, opportunities to catch up with fellow alumni.

George W. Bush Institute Military Service Initiative Events


The W100K, a high-endurance multi-day bike ride in Crawford, Texas, and the Warrior Open competitive golf tournament at the AT&T Byron Nelson highlight the resilience and continued leadership of our wounded warriors and their families. The Bush Institute hosts both events to underscore the importance of sports as part of the rehabilitation process for wounded warriors.

The opening and dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center in 2013 was a three-day event attended by all living presidents, heads of state, and thousands of Americans.

African First Ladies Summit:
Investing in Women, Strengthening Africa


The two-day conference in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in 2013 convened over 250 guests and 11 African first ladies and featured President and Mrs. George W. Bush and Mrs. Michelle Obama. The event focused on the important role First Ladies play in promoting women’s education, health, and economic empowerment.
