Job Title: Director, Events

Director Role

  • Lead and independently manage all aspects of Tier 4–5 client events, including run of show, production schedule, budget oversight, vendor negotiations, AV, speakers and talent, guest experience, layout and design, communications, staffing, on-site execution, and post-event close-out

  • Drive timelines, next steps, and accountability across the planning team; develop and oversee detailed checklists and planning documents to ensure strategic alignment and flawless execution

  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior-level clients, confidently guiding high-stakes conversations while balancing creative vision with logistical and budget realities

  • Source, negotiate, and contract vendors, speakers, entertainment, and specialty elements; oversee relationships and ensure deliverables meet Brigade standards

  • Own event budgets from development through reconciliation, ensuring accurate forecasting, expense tracking, and timely billing

  • Collaborate with creative partners to develop branding, collateral, and guest-facing materials that elevate the event experience

  • Lead on-site production including load-in and load-out, staffing direction, real-time troubleshooting, and executive decision-making in fast-paced environments

  • Execute multiple large-scale events each season while mentoring team members and modeling professionalism, accountability, and composure

What will set you up for success

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university

  • 8–12+ years leading high-profile, large-scale events with significant budgets and complex stakeholders

  • Experience serving as strategic lead on client accounts

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both virtually and in person with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work as a supportive, contributing member of a high-achieving team with the mentality that “no task is too small”

  • Ability to lead with strategic judgement, discretion, and authority

  • Passion for bringing events to life and supporting women

  • Appetite for domestic and international travel (20-30%) and ability to support events physically (stand for long periods, lift supplies, work in variable weather environments, etc.)

  • Advanced experience in Canva, Excel, and Social Tables preferred.
