Ginna McLanahan was born in New York City but raised in Dallas, so we consider her a Texan at heart! She attended the University of Virginia, graduating from The McIntire School of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in management and marketing. Following graduation, she spent a brief year in Charlotte, NC before venturing to New York City to continue her work in finance for Bank of America. Ginna later switched to campus recruiting, which is where she fell in love with event planning.

Ginna left Bank of America to work for Merrill Lynch as Vice President and Program Manager of the Global Markets Campus Recruiting Program. She managed a team of recruiters and oversaw and executed campus recruiting efforts for analysts, associates, and PhDs. She did everything from planning social team-building events to developing training curriculum for the recruits to implementing on-campus educational events across the country at various universities, colleges, and business schools.

Ginna met her husband, Ward, in New York and “recruited” him back to Dallas in 2008. At that time, she started working in Marketing and Events for the Private Bank at J.P. Morgan. It was there that she honed the details and intricacies of event planning. She worked with senior leadership on everything from conception to execution to create high-profile client events. Through these events, Ginna tangibly helped J.P. Morgan increase client business and strengthen those relationships.

Ginna’s strategic thinking and attention to detail bring important elements to each event. When not at Brigade, you can find her teaching mahjong, playing tennis, volunteering, and seeking out the best brunch places in Dallas. She and Ward have boy/girl twins, Brooks and Taylor, and a younger son, Tuck. And they all agree that their most favorite family member is their black lab, Phil.
